When I was a child, I was intrigued by the way trees would grow into fences, farm equipment and other stationary items. That fascination, combined with my appreciation for nature, inspired me to begin experimenting with grafting living trees and other plants.
Today, I’m an artist in residence at Smith College who creates permanent art installations using trees, plants and other natural materials. My work has appeared throughout the country, including the University of California San Diego Art Gallery, the Smith College Botanical Garden and many locations throughout New England.
Through Living Memorials, my goal is to develop these natural art installations and apply them to a natural burial or remembrance site. Please contact me to learn more about my work or to schedule a consultation.
